We build talent and prepare a skilled, future-fit workforce that drives success for individuals, organisations, and industries. We’re looking for two Industry Trainers - Bookkeeping to join us on a 12-month contract basis, delivering engaging, practical training as part of our Bookkeeping Micro-Credential Series. This role offers remote flexible working options. 

Job Description

About the role: 

This is a hands-on training role focused on building real-world bookkeeping capability. You’ll support learners to develop confidence in financial administration and equip them with the skills needed to operate effectively in SME environments. 

You’ll be delivering online, applied learning - bringing concepts to life through real examples and supporting learners throughout their journey. 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Deliver weekly online bookkeeping training sessions  
  • Teach core topics including AP/AR, GST, PAYE and reconciliations  
  • Support learning using Xero and/or MYOB  
  • Mark assessments and provide clear, constructive feedback  
  • Support learner engagement, onboarding and participation  
  • Identify and support at-risk learners, track learner progress and provide monthly reporting  
  • Maintain up-to-date industry and compliance knowledge  
  • Contribute to programme improvements where needed  

Desired Skills and Experience

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience in bookkeeping or financial administration  
  • Unit standard 4098 and Adult Education qualification Level 4+ (or willingness to work towards these as part of your professional development) 
  • Relevant bookkeeping/accounting qualification at Level 4 or above; or significant (2+ years) working experience in these sectors. 
  • Strong knowledge of AP/AR, GST, PAYE and reconciliations  
  • Experience using Xero or MYOB  
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills  
  • Adult education or training experience (desirable)
  • Experience delivering online learning ((desirable)
